Alexander Danilevich is Declared Political Prisoner

On June 28, attorney Alexander Danilevich was declared to be a political prisoner.

On May 20, 2022, Alexander Danilevich was detained and placed in the KGB pre-trial detention center. Presumably, he is charged under paragraph 3 of Article 361 of the Criminal Code ("calls for actions aimed at inflicting damage to the national security of the Republic of Belarus, including the use of restrictive measures (sanctions)", or "distribution of materials containing such calls").

Earlier, the attorney was subjected to disciplinary punishment for signing an anti-war petition; and the Faculty of International Relations of the Belarusian State University, where the attorney taught for 20 years, did not extend the contract with him.
